Leisha
Dental Hygienist
Leisha is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles through preventive care and education. She focuses on the vital connection between oral health and overall wellbeing, working closely with dentists and the wider team to ensure each patient receives the best possible care.
Leisha began her career in dentistry in 1996 as a trainee dental assistant. Her love for biology and health sciences inspired her to further her studies, and she graduated from The University of Melbourne as a Dental Hygienist in 2002. After just one week in the field, she knew dentistry was where she was meant to be and she continues to enjoy the variety and challenges the profession offers.
Outside the clinic, Leisha is happiest in the sunshine, tending to her garden, growing fruits and vegetables, and caring for her chickens, sheep and cows. Evenings are often spent curled up on the couch with her miniature dachshund Minnie. She is also a long-time Barbie doll collector, a passion she has held since childhood.
Friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in her patients’ health, Leisha brings a caring and personal touch to every appointment, although wriggly baby teeth still make her a little queasy.
