Dr Nihir Shah

Dr Shah has been at the heart of Knight Street Dentists since taking over the practice in 2017. He has built a compassionate, friendly and vibrant culture, leading a professional dental team dedicated to delivering high quality care. With more than nine years of experience in designing and creating beautiful smiles, he now balances both the clinical and non-clinical aspects of the practice.

Each morning begins with a moment of reflection on the previous day and careful planning for the one ahead. This helps him navigate challenges, turn them into opportunities and keep the practice running smoothly and efficiently.

Enthusiastic, confident and caring, Dr Shah is particularly passionate about transforming the dental experience for anxious patients. He goes above and beyond to help them feel calm, relaxed and in control, always ensuring that treatments are guided by the best interests of each patient.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Shah enjoys spending time with his young family. He has a creative streak and loves woodworking, cooking and photography. Running is his favourite way to unwind and recharge. A lifelong football fan, he once dreamed of becoming a professional player and is still an enthusiastic Liverpool supporter. Dr Silibaziso Ncomanzi, BDS

Dentist

Silibaziso, known to patients and colleagues as Dr Ncomanzi, graduated from James Cook University and began her dental career in 2023. That same year she joined the team at Knight Street Dentists, where she has quickly become a valued member of the practice.

She enjoys building lasting friendships with both her patients and team. For her, dentistry is not only about providing high quality care but also about listening and sharing in the fun and important moments of her patients’ lives. Her greatest motivation in dentistry is helping people get out of pain and restoring their comfort. She also finds joy in the hands-on side of her work, whether it is solving dental concerns or creating new smiles.

Outside of the clinic, Silibaziso loves nothing more than curling up with a good book. She has a unique talent for solving a Rubik’s cube and enjoys collecting quirky key chains from new places she visits. These little passions reflect her curious nature and eye for detail, both of which serve her well in her role as a dentist.

Dr Aws Sahib

Dentist

Aws is dedicated to providing quality dental care with a personal touch. He enjoys building genuine connections with his patients, whether chatting about weekend activities, travel plans or shared interests, and believes this rapport helps create a relaxed and positive dental experience.

His path into dentistry began with a desire to work in healthcare. Wanting a career that was hands on and allowed him to be present for his patients, he found that dentistry was the perfect fit. Aws completed his Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours at La Trobe University, Bendigo Campus.

When he is not caring for patients, Aws enjoys keeping active with gym workouts, reading a good book and planning his next travel adventure. One of his dreams is to explore the Mediterranean in the coming years. A skilled musician, he can play both acoustic and bass guitar and likes to revisit his skills whenever he can.

Aws is fluent in both English and Arabic, a skill that helps him connect with a wide range of patients and make everyone feel welcome in his care.
