Our Story

Knight Street Dentists was founded in 1999, with Dr Nihir Shah taking over the practice in 2017. A young dentist at the age of 28, Dr Shah immediately embarked on creating a fresh story for the dental clinic.

Dedicated to transforming the dental experience, Dr Shah has worked diligently to develop an environment designed to be welcoming, friendly and compassionate.

He’s taken a 180-degree pivot away from the ‘clinical’ atmosphere that is expected at a dental practice. And instead? Dr Shah and his team strive to create a pleasant ambience where oral health is celebrated—by staff and patients alike.

Approachable, accommodating and a wee bit cheeky, we’re a little unique to your traditional dentist. While we incorporate a high level of professionalism, we aim to provide you with a personalised and pleasant family dental experience.

Our culture has been built from the core out, and this is reflected in how our staff interact with each other and our patients. We’ve created a relaxed, fun, respectful and supportive practice environment. Our staff love coming to work and gain the greatest satisfaction in being able to help our patients achieve their oral health goals. Working harmoniously together also harnesses a high-performance output from each of our team members.

Honest yet gentle in our approach, our philosophy is centred around prevention, early intervention and pain-free dental treatments. Focused on comfort, health, functionality and aesthetics, we’re your dental wingman/wingwoman, providing you with a personalised dental plan tailored just for you.

Caring for you beyond your dental visit, we also enjoy catching up with you on a personal level and ensuring that your family is well. And if you’re lucky, we may even provide a little entertainment for you. Yes, our team have been known to sing to our patients and often make them laugh!
