Cancellation Policy

At Knight Street Dentists, we strive to provide the highest quality dental care and exceptional service to all our patients.

We are a small, personable business who aim to provide excellent quality at an affordable price. One of the ways that we achieve that is by efficient use of appointment time and staff. A missed appointment or short notice cancellation represent a cost to us and represent scheduling problems for other patients looking to book in.

We understand that there may be circumstances that require you to cancel or reschedule your dental appointment. However, in order to effectively manage our schedule and accommodate the needs of all our patients, we have implemented the following cancellation policy:

1. Appointment Cancellation:

a. We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the vacant appointment slot to another patient in need of dental care.

b. If you fail to provide at least 48 hours’ notice or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, a cancellation fee may be applied. The specific fee amount will be communicated to you at the time of booking and may vary depending on the type of appointment.

2. Late Arrival:

a. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause you to arrive late for your appointment. However, please note that arriving late may disrupt the schedule of other patients who have appointments following yours. Please call us on 03 5821 6997 if you have been unexpectedly delayed.

b. If you arrive late for your scheduled appointment, we will make every effort to accommodate you. However, depending on your allocated treatment duration, we may need to reschedule your appointment to another suitable time and a late fee will be applied.

3. Emergency Situations:

a. We recognize that emergencies can happen, such as sudden illness or accidents. If you experience a genuine emergency that prevents you from keeping your appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible to inform us of the situation.

b. We will consider emergency situations on a case-by-case basis, and no cancellation fee will be applied if the circumstances are deemed genuine emergencies.

4. Communication:

a. It is essential to communicate any changes or cancellations to our office promptly. You can reach us by phone or email during our regular business hours.

b. Our office staff will provide you with a confirmation of any changes or cancellations made to your appointment.

Booking Fee Policy

At Knight Street Dentists, we strive to provide excellent dental care and ensure that our patients receive the attention they deserve. To streamline our appointment scheduling process and enhance the overall patient experience, we have implemented a booking fee policy. Please read the following guidelines regarding our booking fee policy:

1. Purpose:

The booking fee serves as a confirmation of your appointment and helps us maintain a well-organized schedule, allowing us to accommodate all our patients efficiently.

2. Applicability:

The booking fee policy applies to all new and existing patients who wish to schedule an appointment at Knight Street Dentists.

3. Booking Fee Amount:

The booking fee amount $60, and it will be collected at the time of scheduling the appointment. Please note that this fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

4. Fee Collection:

The booking fee can be paid through various convenient methods such as credit/debit card, cash, or electronic transfer.

5. Appointment Confirmation:

Once the booking fee has been successfully paid, your appointment will be confirmed, and the specific time slot will be reserved exclusively for you. This ensures that you receive the necessary dental care without any unnecessary delays.

6. Fee Deduction:

The booking fee will be deducted from the total cost of your dental treatment on the day of your appointment. However, please note that if your appointment is cancelled or rescheduled outside our cancellation policy guidelines (as mentioned in point 7), the booking fee will not be refunded or applied towards future appointments.

7. Cancellation or Rescheduling:

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request that you provide us with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the time slot to other patients in need of dental care. Failure to provide adequate notice or not showing up for your appointment will result in the forfeiture of the booking fee.

8. Exceptions:

In case of emergencies or extenuating circumstances, we understand that it may not always be possible to provide the required notice. If you find yourself in such a situation, we request that you contact our dental office as soon as possible to discuss your circumstances. We will handle such cases on an individual basis.

9. Refunds:

As mentioned earlier, the booking fee is non-refundable except in the case of cancellation or rescheduling within the specified notice period or under extenuating circumstances as determined by our dental office.

10. Policy Amendments:

Knight Street Dentists reserves the right to amend or modify this booking fee policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to our patients through our official website or other appropriate channels.
